April Showers, Birthdays, and FUN!

April was an amazing month in the Smith household! We celebrated Easter, Ella Bella's birthday, Kenny's birthday, Uncle Brent's birthday, beautiful weather, and friends. I have found we can get quite caught up in "life" - running errands, arranging playdates, visiting friends, keeping busy. The other night while I was laying awake, I was thinking that I really want to strive to share our time with others and model for Ro what it means to be a servant, to be a person who puts their love into action, to love without any expectation of love in return. Stay tuned - we are on a Smith mission!!!

In the meantime, I wanted to share some pictures of our month:

Today we celebrated Uncle Brent's birthday at Auntie El's. Uncle Brad missed the party as he is in Cuba at a wedding, and Ben was at work. Happy birthday Uncle Brent!

Ro had her first homework project. The toddler class is putting together a "Book of Hugs". Each child and their family has been asked to draw/decorate/commemorate the people or things they like to hug. Ro wanted to use photos so she told me the people she wanted to include on her page, and we printed pictures off at Walmart. I know it looks like I did it all (my scrapbooking cutters came in handy!!), but Ro decorated the page and wrote the names of those she likes to huggle (Ken, Trin, Ella, Adie, Easton, Christa, Sandy, Jackers, Gracie, Nana, Papa, Clarkie, Zoey, and Daddy).

Gotta enjoy the April showers - and you might as well be prepared!! :)
