new adventures

We had another super weekend. Ben was home in time for Ro's bedtime on Friday night (which is 7 pm for all interested parties. She doesn't nap anymore, so is ready for bed at that point.) This is unbelievably rare. It rarely happens during Ben's shows. But it happened. We were SO thankful!

What we weren't so thankful for was the 4:45 start to Saturday morning. Ro woke up crying, saying she had to go pee. After successfully completing her mission, she was wide awake and there was no more sleeping. For Ro or me. Boo.

We spent the majority of Saturday with Elesha and her 3 kids (Ella, Adie, and Easton) and Brent with his 2 girls (Kenny and Trin). It was a great day. Ro loves her cousins so much and plays so well with them. To top it off, we had Chinese food (one of my faves) and Ro was asleep in the car at 6:15. She actually stayed asleep as Ben carried her in and she slept in her clothes all night until 8:30 the next morning. Guess she was tired. :)

Sunday afternoon we discovered Frootogo, a great orchard and farm that doesn't charge admission, has lots to do and see, and has GREAT apples! We picked 16 pounds of Courtland apples for applesauce, apple pie, and apple crisp. We also bought 8 litres of HoneyCrisp, our personal favourite. In case you are curious, 8 litres = 20 apples.

Hope you all had great weekends too!
