what we've been up to lately

Ro's new trike. She loves it and is learning the pedaling motion.

Our brave daughter held this crocodile at Oakville Place. She was the only kid who did so while we were there. Ro was very serious, and very responsible.

See the serious face, while holding the milk snake. She wasn't sure about the snake's tongue.

Marble Slab with one of Ro's favourite friends and classmates.

It's March. What a month it has been! We've had some BEAUTIFUL weather, and we were able to enjoy each day - sometimes just Ro and I, sometimes with friends, and sometimes with Ben.

Dream House has kept Ben very busy - for which we are thankful. Working night exteriors is exhausting for Ben, but the upside is Ro and I get to hang out with him in the afternoon before he goes to work, and we get to see him in the morning before he goes to bed. Ro and I try to clear out out of the house on these days so Ben can sleep in peace - not that we make a lot of noise. :) The really hard thing for Ben is coming home on Saturday morning around 7:30, sleeping until the afternoon, trying to get to sleep before 3 am on Sunday morning, and then getting up to teach kindergarten for 8:30 am. However, since the actors on this show have 12 hours of turnaround after each work day, he usually gets decent sleep during the week.

Ro and I had a "special treat" morning on Saturday morning. Ro was in need of new shoes (her feet continue to grow), so we went to Walmart and then Oakville Place to look for shoes at StyleSense. We found runners and black dress-like shoes. Ro loves them both. The highlights of the morning for her was our date treat at Cobs Bread, and then riding in the "car cart" at the mall. She always asks to do so, and I have always said no. However, since we had time to kill before we could go home, Ro got her wish. THEN she got to hold a crocodile and snake - an unexpected treat. What a day!

Here's hoping March has been just as enjoyable for all of you. Happy Spring!
